(1)Firefox even in its Beta Stage is faster than most of the commercial browsers :)

( I am trying to build Firefox 3 beta 4 on my Suse Desktop ,, and would write my experience once i get past my universities mandatory final year work load )
(2) Digg has its Open Source Cousin named FSDaily (Free Software Daily) , i am trying it and it seem to be cool place to hang around for latest Open Source news :)
(3) GCC 4.3 was released on March 5th (news is bit stale ,i know :) )
(4) Emotional Robots , are being developed by Professors James Little from Computer Science & Elisabeth Croft from Engineering at the University of British Columbia (UBC) ,for further details go to here

(5)and finally EU (European Union ) is planning to get more Open Sourced OS (read ,Linux ) in lieu of Microsoft Windows .. partly due to internal pressure (low cost) , and partly thanks to The fine EU slapped on Microsoft .(for more go here )
(6) after enough Microsoft bashing , i think we should laud Microsoft for their funding / research of Pseudo Translucent display device this User interface is really revolutionary whenever it will reach in hands of consumers ,
